Established in memory of Micaela Raine Johnson, the Raine Effect Community Foundation honors the drive and determination Micaela was known for throughout her life. As a competitive cheer athlete herself, and later a competitive cheer coach and mentor to young girls in her community, Micaela led by example: she inspired those who knew her to give 110% in their endeavors, and to never give up.
The RECF seeks to provide support to young girls who embody Micaela's grit and heart, but who might otherwise lack the resources to achieve their goals. The Raine Effect Community Foundation is a 501 3(C) non-profit community organization dedicated to empowering girls up to age 18 by providing financial assistance that nurtures faith, supports athletic and academic growth, strengthens communities and encourages a spirit of service.

Scholarship Program
Grit & Heart
The Grit & Heart Scholarship, established by the RECF, honors a school girl who exemplifies grit and heart through courage, resilience, excellence and team commitment. This scholarship is designated to uplift lives and create lasting change by recognizing girls and young ladies who lead with passion and determination.
Eligibility Requirements
Scholarships are awarded on a quarterly basis. There are four areas of impact where scholarships will be awarded:
Faith - Active in a faith based organization.
Academics - Must have GPA of 2.5 or better
Community - Volunteer work in local organization or initiatives
Sports - Involvement in school/individual sports.
